Entranced by the Moir sisters (I was too young to attest to this but it seems like Ozmusic did Gorgeous Weird really well thru the 70s), intrigued by the Belly of the Wolf and delighted with your unselfconscious-flow art. Thanks.

Definitely some charmers in that decade - I was thinking the clothes in that video wouldn’t look out of place today.

Lovely read and recommendation. Do you know Linda Marrinons beautiful sculpture if the Moir Sisters? https://www.mca.com.au/collection/artworks/2016.38A-C/

Partly on the strength of it we recently picked up a copy of the Moir Sisters album. It has all the lyrics (weird and pretty awful though in a tellingly naive yearning unformed way) as well as a story of the band and album which is also very odd. I wish they were better and more interestingly singular than they were.

Oh! I love it - thanks for the link. their solemn faces! I know what you mean. We found the first album in the Warrandyte oppy and wanted it to be more something. I’ve had good morning stuck in my head since I posted.

These poems sound absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing the recommendation to the YA verse novel.

Thanks for the book rec - have just placed a library hold. Might buy if I can think of a suitable recipient.

Was cool to see Mooroolbark mentioned. I’m only familiar with the train station and Edna Walling’s intentional community, but to see the word on this site was sweet. Love your art, too.

I try and get to the open garden days at Bickleigh Vale - it amazes me that it’s there - would love to write about it one day.
