I read Harriet in the summer between years 5-6. Loved learning more author and text!

the biography is excellent - some of her NY village writer-friends ended up writing 1970s YA and I feel like there is a subversive thread that runs through in their books ...

Love this, as a fellow Harriet fan and acolyte! That biography was SO GOOD, too.

I love everything about this! Indeed, I related to a Harriet, and forgot the specifics until reading your recap. And also appreciate learning about the author’s biography, and Lissa Paul’s analysis. And of course learning about your own internalization of the book. Thank you! And I hope you are keeping well. ❤️

Brilliant reflections, Cassy - am a huge Harriet fan 😎 I still have my treasured childhood box set of Harriet The Spy + The Wolves of Willoughby Chase + Charlotte's Web.
